Bay Fisher

Bay Fisher is one of the fastest growing leisure magazines in New Zealand. They wanted their website to be an extension of the magazine rather than simply being online version of the magazine. The website receives thousands of visitors each month, and the number is growing.

The website we built them using Drupal allows them to add new content regularly and easily, where the site dynamically updates as content is added and changed. Readers are also able to submit news and fishing reports directly via the website, which are then approved and published using an editorial workflow process.

They are able to sell advertising on the website using placements via Google Adwords as well as the OpenX advertising server platform.

They sell magazine subscriptions and other merchandise via the website using Ubercart, a Drupal eCommerce solution.

Finally, we utilised PHPList, an open-source email marketing platform to allow the Bay Fisher team to keep in touch with their readers via regular email newsletters, which in turn bring more traffic back to the website.
